Announcements:
Thank you to all parents and families for helping our first week run smoothly! We are enjoying making new friends and learning the routines of first grade. If you ever have any questions, please don't hesitate to reach out to us. Email is the best way to get a hold of us. If it's a general question, please email your homeroom teacher. If it's a question specific to an academic area, please email the teacher that teaches that subject. We are so excited to partner with you in your child's learning.
Mrs. Sork: msork@coppellisd.com (Mrs. Sork teaches math to all of the first grade)
Mrs. Vincenzo: lvincenzo@coppellisd.com (Mrs. Vincenzo teaches language arts to all of the first grade)
Mrs. McCullough: jmccullough@coppellisd.com (Mrs. McCullough teaches science and social studies to all of the first grade. She also will be taking them to the library each week.)
DISMISSAL -- If you change the way your child goes home at the end of the day, you will need to email your teacher. Children will be sent home their "usual" way unless we hear directly from a parent. Also, please make sure that the teacher has responded to your email to ensure that we got the message. If you don't hear back from your teacher, please call the office to let them know about dismissal changes.
Celebrations & Birthday Treats
We will celebrate your child’s birthday with a spotlight on our daily school-wide
announcements and a goody bag from the school that contains several items, including a
coupon for a free treat in the cafeteria. This allows each child to be recognized on their
special day and hopefully takes a little off your plate as parents, knowing you do not need
to provide treats for that day. If you choose to send birthday food treats to school, they will
need to be in their original packaging that lists ingredients. These will be sent home with learners at the end of the day for them to enjoy at home.
